The WordPress iPad App

Some times you just have to spend a few minutes exploring the technology you have at your finger tips. There are so many emerging technologies, gadgets and gizmos available that it can be a little overwhelming. But have you made the most of the gadgets that you already have.

If you have an iPad like me, it is highly unlikely that you are using this to it's full potential. Some times a few minutes exploring the app store or Top 10 app lists will find you a gem.

As you've probably guessed that's pretty much what I've been doing for the last 10 minutes as a break from work.

And I've found an array of apps that look useful, funny or simply intriguing, including the WordPress app. This will surely make it easier for me to post in my spare time. From what I've seen so far this should be in regular use. Time will tell.

Valencia. A Boring Procession

I enjoy watching Formula One Racing and am a huge supporter of Jensen Button.

The Canadian Grand Prix started slowly for me and I truly thought we would be in for a pretty dull race. However wet conditions can often be relied on to provide a little excitement and excitement is what we got. Hamiltion nearly took webber out followed, which was shortly followed by Hamilton nearly taking button out (you can see a pattern here). Follow this with 2 hours of red flag filler including ornithology and meteorology and the evening began to get exciting. After multiple pit stops JB was at the back of the race but nothing was going to hold him up. After passing 14 cars in the last 5 laps he managed to put the pressure on Vettel and force an error. Going wide Vettel lost control for an instant and that gave JB the win. Over 5 hours of programming for 2 hours of racing. Excellent Sunday night television.

Fast forward 2 weeks and we are now watching the European GP. A boring procession. The random red shouldered North American bird at Montréal was much more exciting than this! No racing at all bar JB passing Rosburg early on; if you blinked you might have missed it.

Hoping that Silverstone will be just a little more interesting.

Drupal Edit View Tab Not Visible

We’ve had a couple of Drupal sites recenlty where editors have not been able to access the edit tab for a page/node.

There seems to be a few reason why this might be the case.

For me it turned out to be that the user’s role did not have permission to use an input format set within the page.

Thanks to Blair at Fused for possible solutions.

The Power of Advertising. Superbowl XLV

Ok, so we get to see the game but don’t get to see the adverts.

That’s a shame really as there were some really good ads shown during the Superbowl in the US yesterday.

Here are few that made me laugh.

Marge Simpson is a Cheese head!

What would you change the game to?

Best line in an advert ever - "I can finally stop walking through the drive-through window."
